i kinda hate getting judged in conversation. its something i used to do a lot too, and i’ve actively been trying to avoid doing it to other people, since i know how much it hurts to me.
i also want to specify that…
- not judging doesn’t mean you have to be delusional about things; even if you acknowledge a characteristic of someone, doesnt mean you have to be outspoken about it. does it mean you’re not honest? i think it would be if you refused to acknowledge reality. like, sure, you can argue by not outspokingly judging someone you’re witholding truth or something, but i don’t think its lying.
- i think humans judging others is a completely natural thing, be it due to biology or socialization. i think its pretty misused and does more harm than good, which is why i like to avoid doing it.
- i dont think ALL judging is bad. within reason and with a honest, good intent it can be a good tool. e.g. if i talk to a friend and they seem more stressed out than usual, i will be gentler and more caring towards them.
i guess what im trying to refer is that (not everyone) but some people just love talking about others all the time, even if they’re not there. and they have opinions on everything, lmao. or just judge every little thing.
btw after writing i realized that what im saying could be interpreted to also include more serious shit like doing drugs, or being overweight, or shit like that. tbh when i wrote it, i was pretty much only thinking about “fashion” choices like doing your hair or nails a certain way.
i’d like to add some other shit to the blog. a dedicated guestbook page and a random quote of the day widget. i’ll get to work eventually, i’m just kinda unmotivated… but the idea seems cool, doesn’t it?
i said it in the last post, too… but i kinda wanna get back into playing chess. im pretty bad at it; honestly online i mostly do bullet since lul adhd brain. i guess i’ve played so much that nowadays it feels like a chore… i KNOW i’m not going to get better, at least not enough for it to matter, and tbh i feel like i’ve played against pretty much everything peeps at my level usually do. in the short time controls i play (2+1) it’s basically 70% memorization (pattern matching/opening knowledge/line knowledge) and the rest can be intuition or calculation. at least thats my opinion.
last time i played half seriously in lichess was probably… 3 years ago, or thereabouts. so i’m pretty sure my rating is down a shitton atm. aaaaaaaaa

i usually judge when i already know the person a tad bit, mainly so it doesn't get too far from reality.
i would really post on the guestbook, but, knowing that only like 3 people usually interact with this page, idk if it would be used a lot. maybe it would if my projection is a tad far from reality.
i haven't learned to play chess, mainly because i'm not good at remembering lots of details at once.
see ya later, or tomorrow, or on 3 days. idk when. ^w^
oo hey kiki! glad to see you back.
tbh i thought about the guestbook since other similar blogs have it... but you're right, i'll keep thinkin about it! thanks for letting me know your thoughts on it!
