an anon on lainchan web ring thread posted the following:
I do, and I think we have a distorded view or understanding of personal web pages. If I’m not wrong, the old internet used to move much slower than present day’s internet. It may be that our current expectatation of the web is lots of new content every short time, and is a byproduct of mass social media platforms, which encourage frivolous and low effort blogposting (think of the average social media post – worthless), which have malaccustomed us to it.
The old web used to change much more slowly, you can verify this with the wayback machine. I think the web should return to the old ways, and have some kind of “significancy” filter, so that a “mass social media” situation doesn’t repeat.
it kinda made me think, because on this page (so far), i’ve mostly posted honest but not well thought out posts (imo), since i try to post once a day, sorta like a diary. as anon said, that’s aligned with social media low effort garbage.
some of the pages i linked on the home (e.g. ℵ₀) are similar, as in they’re personal pages with own opinions, but they offer less but more well-thought out content.
idk, guess i feel more comfortable this way. i also really like writing, as i think it’s mildly therapeutic.
i guess we chillin’, huh. it’s finally summer! yay! i love the weather. i want to make a conscious effort to not complain too much, since i find that we have a cycle of always complaining about it! maybe it’s sort of a conversation starter, but… it’s annoying sometimes.
in summer we want milder temperatures, and in winter we want warmer temperatures… yup.
tbh, true. maybe its just copium, or "it is what it is" attitude, but i dont wanna complain too much. and luckily i dont have to do physical work outside... if i did, i wouldnt be saying that stuff, lol.

If anything, sites like these are the last bastion of reason on the internet
anon, thank you for your kind words desu.
